About the Event What Is BTS's Gwanghwamun Concert?

BTS's highly anticipated full-group comeback performance, 'BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG', takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 8 PM KST at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. This marks their first complete reunion performance in approximately 3 years and 9 months following their mandatory military service — and every ARMY around the world has their eyes fixed on this moment.

The concert celebrates the release of their fifth studio album 『ARIRANG』 (releasing March 20), held at the cultural heart of South Korea — Gwanghwamun — in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Heritage Service. The show runs approximately one hour and will be broadcast as a real-time global livestream on Netflix across 190+ countries.

🎪

Seating Zones Ticket Structure & Seat Layout

The main stage will be installed on the north side, across from the Gwanghwamun Woldae (ceremonial gate platform). The venue is divided into three main zones.

  • A
Extended Stage Standing Pit (~2,000 spots)
The closest zone to the stage — a VIP experience. Allocated exclusively by lottery to verified buyers of the 5th album via Weverse pre-order. Now fully closed.
  • B
Admiral Yi Sun-sin Statue Area → Main Assigned Seating (~13,000 seats)
General first-come, first-served ticketing zone. Some sightlines partially obstructed by safety barriers; supplemented by on-site large LED screens.
  • C
South of Sejong-daero Intersection — Additional Standing (~7,000 spots)
Additional batch released via NOL Tickets on March 12. Located near Gwanghwamun Station–City Hall Station. Viewing primarily via large LED screen.
1 ticket per person — existing ticket holders cannot purchase additional seats. Strict ID verification and anti-scalping monitoring are in effect.

📍

No Ticket? No Problem Best Free Viewing Spots Near the Venue

Even without a ticket, don't lose hope. Due to the open structure of Gwanghwamun Square, indirect viewing is possible at certain outer areas. However, access will depend on crowd-control barriers and safety perimeter placement on the day, so always check current conditions when you arrive.

  • 1
South of Sejong-daero Intersection — Official LED Screen Zone
The organizers will officially set up large LED screens here. Located between Gwanghwamun Station and City Hall Station; audio is also expected to be reasonably clear.
  • 2
Northern Outer Edge Near King Sejong Statue
Slightly behind the central square but offers a relatively clear frontal view of the main screen. Arriving early in the morning to claim your spot is key here.
  • 3
Surrounding Jonggak Area — Cafés & Restaurants
Rooftop cafés and early-stretch Cheonggyecheon commercial venues near Jongno may offer an indirect atmosphere experience. Screen-based viewing only from these spots.
⚠️ KT Gwanghwamun Building West — CLOSED on Concert Day

The KT Gwanghwamun West Building (including Otus Coffee), once famous as a prime viewing spot, will be completely closed on March 21. Do not plan on using this location — entry will not be possible.

💡 Practical tip: If you're heading without a ticket, the best strategy is to arrive and settle in an outer screen zone by morning. Police estimate up to 260,000 people may gather — always prioritize your personal safety.

💬

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

Can I go near the concert venue without a ticket?
Entry into any designated zone requires an official ticket. The Zone C southern standing area (approx. 7,000 spots) had an additional NOL Ticket release on March 12. If all official seats are sold out, your most realistic options are the outer areas of Gwanghwamun Square near the LED screens, or watching the Netflix livestream from home. Do not attempt to bypass the safety perimeter — unauthorized entry is subject to immediate action.
Can I watch from the KT Gwanghwamun Building?
No. The KT Gwanghwamun Building West (including all commercial tenants) will be completely closed on concert day, March 21. While it was previously known as a great viewing spot, it will be entirely unavailable for this event. Consider the outer areas near the King Sejong statue or the southern Sejong-daero intersection zone as alternatives.
How do I use the subway on the day of the concert?
Gwanghwamun Station (Line 5) will run express (no stop) from 2–10 PM. City Hall and Gyeongbokgung Stations (Lines 2 & 3) will do the same from 3–10 PM. We recommend alighting at Jonggak (Line 1), Anguk (Line 3), or Euljiro 1-ga (Line 2) and walking to the venue. From 9 PM onward, 12 additional trains will be deployed on Lines 2, 3, and 5 to help with the post-concert crowd.
